Quotes from Notes from the Stock Pens--The Working Aussie, what is his Style?

uncredited author, assumed to be Red Oliver, from Aussie Times, July/August 1987 pp. 91-92 Copyright 2001 Australian Shepherd Club of America, Inc.

"We all know the style of the Aussie differs greatly from the Border Collie or the Blue Heeler.

If a young Aussie does not work in close, but stays out or back he will be doing it for one of two reasons; he has been trained to do this or he has had the STYLE (capitals author's) bred out of him.

My *PUPS* ARE FILLED WITH AUSSIE STYLE - THEY WORK UP CLOSE - THEY WORK FAST - THEY NEED TRAINING"
